Sizzling sa Kubo is a carinderia/eatery located at Palico-Balayan, Batangas Road, Tubigan in Lemery, Batangas. The place is very open where you can see the interior from afar. The structure is predominantly made of wood — the walls, the divider, the foundation, the tables, and the chairs. The roof is made of pawid (palm) and the ceiling is outlined with round capiz lanterns/lamps.
Apart from the interior tables and chairs, there are also long thin tables attached to the “divider” or fence-like walls. These attached tables are paired with long wooden chairs (bangko). It specializes in Batangas noodles; the best sellers are the lomi special and the sisig. You can order in advance and pick it up at a later time. The number to contact is (0956) 132 6842.
How to Get There
From City Center:
From Caltex Gasoline Station, near San Roque Parish Church, take a jeepney bound for Calaca/Balayan. Tell the driver to drop you off at Sizzling sa Kubo. The fare is ₱10.
Alternatively, you can hire a tricycle near the church to take you to Sizzling sa Kubo. The fare for the special trip is ₱50.
From Bus Terminal:
From Manila, take a bus (DLTB or Jam Bus) bound for Lemery. Get off at the bus terminal or at Xentro Mall. From either point, hire a tricycle to take you to Sizzling sa Kubo. The fare for the special trip is ₱40.
Alternatively, you can take a jeepney from Xentro Mall or the bus terminal going to Calaca/Balayan. Tell the driver to drop you off at Sizzling sa Kubo. The fare is ₱10.
